For this project, we worked closely with a passionate client who provided a wealth of inspirational images, clearly highlighting their desire for a kitchen and laundry that exudes both spaciousness and thoughtful design. Keeping their wish list at the forefront, we created a design that celebrates both simplicity and sophistication. The design is grounded in a pared-back palette of neutral tones, carefully chosen to foster a calm and harmonious atmosphere throughout the space.
To create a sense of continuity and flow, we retained the terrazzo flooring used in the apartment, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic. The warmth of timber cabinetry brings a natural, tactile quality to the design, while the zellij tiles introduce a subtle yet striking artisanal element, adding texture and depth with their unique craftsmanship.
A minimalist approach is evident in the clean, simple cabinetry lines, allowing the design to remain uncluttered and timeless. The laundry area is cleverly zoned with a small laundry sink and appliance cabinetry, while the fridge and pantry are seamlessly integrated into the design behind bespoke cabinetry. This ensures both function and form are balanced, with every element having its place.
One of the standout features of the kitchen is the tall timber cabinet, which is illuminated by soft backlighting to enhance the natural grain of the wood. Adjacent to the kitchen you see additional bespoke cabinetry with illuminated display shelving.
To further elevate the space, layered lighting has been thoughtfully incorporated throughout, adding depth, warmth, and a touch of drama. The result is a contemporary yet welcoming kitchen and laundry space that is as functional as it is beautiful.
In addition to the kitchen and laundry, we also designed a bespoke entertainment unit, linen cupboard, display unit, and bedroom wardrobes. These pieces seamlessly integrate with the warm timber cabinetry, creating a cohesive and harmonious design throughout the apartment.
