For this large family kitchen, the design centered around maximising both functionality and warmth, ensuring it’s a space where both family and friends feel at home. Our brief was to prioritise creating a kitchen that can effortlessly handle everyday meals, as well as lively gatherings.
A key feature is the expansive island bench, designed to meet the needs of a busy family. With ample benchtop space, it serves as the perfect spot for meal prep, homework, or casual socialising creating an important gathering point.
Storage was a critical consideration, so we incorporated an abundance of shaker style drawers and cabinets that are both functional and timeless. Thoughtfully designed wine storage keeps the space organised, while stylish task lighting highlights both functionality and beauty.
To complement the cabinetry and create a sense of flow throughout the house, we selected parquetry tile flooring. The pattern adds texture and visual interest, while the durable material ensures it remains low-maintenance and practical for a high-traffic area like the kitchen.
