One of the primary objectives of this project was to ensure that the bathroom design seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetic of the Lindfield home. Taking inspiration from the Federation style, Our team at Caracalla carefully considered every detail to strike the perfect balance between tradition and modernism.
To evoke a sense of classic elegance, large white subway tiles were selected for the walls. This choice not only added a timeless appeal but also allowed for a visually appealing and spacious ambiance. The deeply textured subway tiles exuded an air of sophistication, while their light colour amplified the room’s natural light.
In a bold and innovative move, We extended the subway tile treatment to the entire ceiling, creating a truly enveloping experience. The seamless continuation of the tiles from the walls to the ceiling added a touch of grandeur to the space, accentuating the classic charm of the Lindfield home.
To introduce a captivating and refreshing element, a beautiful aqua blue subway feature wall became the centerpiece of the bathroom. This vibrant colour choice breathed life into the space, creating a striking contrast against the white subway tiles. The feature wall exuded a modern flair while complementing the overall design scheme.
In terms of flooring, a stunning Carrara marble hexagonal mosaic was used. The intricate patterns and luxurious texture of the Carrara marble added depth and character to the bathroom floor, further enhancing the classic ambiance.
To tie the design together, a matching Carrara marble vanity bench-top was incorporated, perfectly harmonising with the mosaic flooring. To complement the aqua blue feature wall, a custom-designed aqua blue vanity cabinet was installed. This bespoke piece not only added a personalised touch but also brought a slight contemporary edge to the overall design.
Lastly, to elevate the luxurious experience, a free-standing bath was strategically positioned in the bathroom. This statement piece enhanced the overall aesthetics while providing a tranquil space for relaxation.
Through a meticulous blend of classic elements and modern touches, At Caracalla Design and Renovation we successfully breathed new life into the Lindfield Federation home bathroom. The large subway tiles, aqua blue feature wall, Carrara marble flooring and vanity, and the free-standing bath collectively transformed the space into a captivating sanctuary. With our attention to detail and commitment to preserving the home’s architectural heritage truly shone through, resulting in a bathroom that effortlessly fuses timeless elegance and contemporary comfort.
